This website is run by our UK CV Family of volunteers. We respect your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You are welcome to access and use our site without disclosing your personal data.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

If you contact us through our website or a general email with a question, we will keep a record of that correspondence and our response. If you have signed up as a "Subscriber" or "Member" we will keep a record of your email address.

If in future you donate to us we may have access to a record of your address via the donation platform. We do not access or use the data from the donation platform.

If you have consented for us to include your story in our “UK CV Family” or elsewhere on our site, we will have discussed the process with you prior on how we would include your story and we will remove your story if requested at anytime as soon as we are able

UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You have the right to access and correct, or delete your Personal Information held by us at any time. Simply email enquiries@ukcvfamily.org and we will delete or amend any of your records and confirm in a response email.

HOW DO WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We will only use any personal information you send us for the purposes for which you provide it.

If you have signed up to become a 'subscriber' or a 'member' you have agreed that you would like to be provided with news and updates to the contact email details you have supplied. If you no longer wish to receive email communications please email us at enquiries@ukcvfamily.org and we will stop them.

Any questions we receive via general emails to us are simply stored in our email account. Specific requests for support via the website contact process are deleted from the website database and copied into a word document with the response and securely stored in a password-protected document. The response will be via email and as such then be stored in the e-mail system.

We keep a record of responses to questions via the website simply so we can be aware of what advice we have given. We will store these responses indefinitely.

HOW DO WE PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We will only hold your information for as long as necessary. This information is not shared with any other Organisations. All individuals who have access to your personal data are obliged to respect the confidentiality of this information.

The UK CV Family website has a Data management system which can only be accessed by authorised people in the volunteer group.

​

Written responses to questions are recorded and processed by specific individuals from our enquiries@ukcvfamily.org email address and stored in a password-protected manner.

However, the information contained on the site and communicated in responses should not be considered medical guidance or professional advice.

All privately sent info to the enquiries@ukcvfamily.org address or as a 'subscriber' along with any communication or material that is sent to UK CV Family via this site, including any data, questions, comments, suggestions, will not be shared or publicised unless requested or with explicit consent. Please note this does not include site 'members' that are commenting or in contact with other site 'members'. All privately sent info given as a 'member' to other 'members' or on any 'member' pages will be treated as non-confidential information. Note UK CV Family does not want to receive written detailed private medical information or very personal details unless discussed and agreed prior.
